Heidi

Heidi Klum, born on 1 June 1973 in Bergisch Gladbach Germany. She was the daughter of an Erna employed as a hairdresser. Gunther Kum was the manager of the cosmetics industry. Her father was previously a production manager for the perfume firm 4711. Her home town was Bergisch Gladbach, a small city of about 100,000 inhabitants just six miles from Cologne was the place where she grew to be. Former German-American model, Heidi Klum is now an actress and television host. Klum began her modeling career working as barmaids at the Dusseldorf nightclub in the year 1992. The girlfriend (Karin) encouraged the then an 18-year-old to take part in a German TV show called Model 92. The show, supported by the German women's magazine Petra was a talk show that aired late at night that was hosted by Thomas Gottschalk. Klum was competing against over 25,000 contestants from all over Germany as well as Europe until she became one of three semifinalists. In April 1992 she won the highest prize of $300,000.
